Printer language compatibility

Each page below answers one narrow question: can this manufacturer's printers accept this language? Every page is built only from manufacturer documentation already recorded in our printer database — no guesses, and no compatibility guarantees.

This is emulation, not native support. Everything listed here is a documented emulation mode, not native support, and none of it has been physically tested by Labelixa.

What emulation actually means

An emulation layer reads a language it was not built for and maps it onto the printer's own firmware. How much of the language it covers is decided by the printer vendor, not by the language owner, and it can differ between firmware versions of the same model. A command that works on a native printer may be ignored, approximated, or rejected. That is why we record the mode's name on every page: the vendor supports its own named mode, and that mode is what you are actually buying.

What we did not verify

We did not print on any of these devices, did not measure how much of each language the emulation actually covers, and did not compare firmware versions. Every claim on these pages links to the vendor document it came from, with the date we last checked it. Treat it as a documented starting point for your own test print, never as a guarantee.

Pages by language

EPL

  • EPL on Honeywell printers
    PC42t
  • EPL on SATO printers
    CL4NX Plus
  • EPL on TSC printers
    TE210, MB240T

Whichever printer you end up with, you can check the job here first: our EPL engine fully renders 7 commands, partially handles 2, and recognises 15 in total — deliberately an MVP subset, and the tool states its own limits on every render.

ZPL

  • ZPL on Honeywell printers
    PC42t
  • ZPL on SATO printers
    CL4NX Plus
  • ZPL on TSC printers
    TE210, MB240T

Whichever printer you end up with, you can check the job here first: our ZPL engine renders 61 of the 66 catalogued commands and flags the rest with diagnostics. A job that fails our validator will almost certainly fail on an emulation layer too — the reverse does not hold.

Native language support is covered on the printer model pages and the language hubs instead. A combination gets a page here only when the vendor documents an emulation mode with a name we can point at.
