These are Industrial units from the CLNX family, printing at 203/305/609 dpi with a 104 mm print width, reachable over Bluetooth, Ethernet, RS232, USB, WiFi. The interface is part of the answer: an emulation mode is selected on the device or by a prefix in the stream, so how you reach the printer decides how you switch it.

SATO ships these at 203/305/609 dpi, so the same ZPL coordinates land at different physical sizes depending on which unit you got — check that before you blame the emulation for a layout that came out wrong.

Questions

Will my existing ZPL labels print unchanged on a SATO printer?
Not necessarily. SATO's mode covers the subset of ZPL that SATO chose, so fonts, barcode types and graphics are the usual places where output differs. Send one real label to the device and compare before you migrate a fleet.
