How to design a label here

1. Set the label size and print density (dpmm) first. Everything after that is measured in printer dots, so what you place is what gets printed.
2. Add text, barcodes, QR codes, lines, boxes, images or named variables from the palette and drag them into position. Snap keeps you on a 5 mm grid; hold Alt to place freely.
3. Arrange the design with layers, rotation, duplicate and undo/redo.
4. Generate the ZPL and copy or download it — or open the actual print preview, rendered by the same engine that produces your labels.

Who this is for

It is for people who need a label changed today and do not write ZPL: an operations lead moving a field, a designer laying out a product label, a developer sketching a layout before hand-tuning the code. What comes out is ordinary ZPL with no proprietary wrapper — you own it and can keep editing it in the ZPL preview and editor, or send it straight to a printer.

Common questions

• Can I edit the generated ZPL by hand afterwards? — Yes, and that is the intended path. The designer emits plain ZPL, so you can paste it into the editor, into your own code, or send it to a printer unchanged.
• Is my design saved to my account? — No. Work in progress is kept as a draft in your own browser and offered back when you return; it is not uploaded. Download the .zpl if you need it to survive a cleared browser.
• Will the physical printer match the canvas exactly? — The canvas is a fast approximation; the print preview is rendered by the engine your labels actually go through, so trust that one. Fonts and barcode rendering on a physical printer can still differ slightly — print a single label before committing to a run.
