Automate Your Workflow
With the API

Use the Labelixa API to automate label generation, preview and reporting directly from your own code.

REST API

Render, validate and convert labels over plain HTTP — an API key is all you need.

POST /v1/printers/8dpmm/labels/4x6/0 curl
curl -X POST "https://api.labelixa.com\
/v1/printers/8dpmm/labels/4x6/0" \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Accept: image/png" \
  --data-binary @etiket.zpl \
  -o etiket.png
MCP Server

Or let AI assistants use Labelixa directly — our MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients the same preview, validation, barcode and template tools.

Contact Sales

Base: single server, single production environment, annual licence. Multiple servers, high availability, OEM, custom integration and a contractual SLA are quoted separately.

What every plan gets, in writing

Commitments we can point at in the product or the contract. What is not on this list, we do not promise.

No watermarks, on any plan

Including the free tier. There is no watermarking code left in the service.

Every barcode symbology, on every plan

No symbology is behind a paywall. Plans differ in volume, speed and features — never in what you can render.

The API only grows

Response fields get added, never removed. A withdrawn endpoint answers 410 Gone and tells you where to go — never a silent 404.

Breaking changes get a date

A published deadline and a Sunset header — at least six months' notice before anything is withdrawn. The one currently running, the ?key= query parameter, is valid until 31 January 2027.

No silent failure, no surprise invoice

Running out of quota is an explicit 429 with Retry-After and X-Quota-Action. We never bill overage automatically: the quota stops, the invoice does not grow.

Delete means delete

Closing your account removes your saved labels, templates, assets and usage records — not just the login.

A DPA for everyone

The GDPR/KVKK data processing addendum is self-service and applies to every customer, free tier included, with a named subprocessor list and 15 days' notice before that list changes.

No uptime SLA — and we say so

We do not yet measure availability from outside the service, so we publish no percentage. What we do measure is shown, unrounded, on the status page.

One operation is one rendered label: a request that produces several labels spends one operation per label, so the quota counts labels, not requests. Quotas are daily and reset at 00:00 UTC; unused quota does not carry over. Requests are also limited per second and per request. On the yearly plan you pay for 10 months and get 12. All prices are in USD. We do not publish an uptime SLA — we do not yet measure availability from outside the service, and we will not print a number we cannot back. Extra operation packs are no longer sold: with daily quotas a pack would cover only a fraction of one day, and moving up a plan is far cheaper. If the daily quota is not enough, the next plan is the answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

View all questions
What is Labelixa?

A rendering engine, REST API and web interface that lets you see ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) labels as PNG or PDF before they reach a thermal printer.

Is my data safe?

The rendering service is deliberately stateless: the ZPL you send is never written to disk and never logged. Because labels carry recipient names and addresses, this principle matters for data protection.

Which barcode formats do you support?

14 symbologies including Code 128, EAN-13/8, UPC-A/E, QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, MaxiCode, Code 39/93, Codabar, the 2of5 family and GS1 DataBar.

What are the limits on the free plan?

5,000 renders per day and 3 requests per second, with no API key and no sign-up — and no plan adds a watermark to the output.

Do I need technical knowledge to use the API?

A single HTTP request is enough: you send the ZPL code in the body and get back a PNG or PDF. No installation, SDK or library required.

What happens if I use an unsupported ZPL command?

The request does not fail. The unknown command is skipped and reported in the X-Warnings response header, so a single command never stops the rest of your labels.

What is the difference between an operation and a request?

An operation is one rendered label; a request is one API call. A single request can produce several labels — if it renders 10 labels, it uses 10 operations. Your daily quota counts labels, not requests, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Separately, each plan limits how many requests you may send per second and how many labels one request may contain.
