TSPL Viewer

Paste TSPL/TSPL2 printer code below and render it as a label image. TSPL is the native language of TSC thermal printers; sizes may be given in millimetres (SIZE 100 mm, 150 mm) or inches (SIZE 4,6).

This tool renders NATIVE TSPL. Many TSC printers also offer manufacturer-documented ZPL emulation — that is a separate mode; for ZPL code use the ZPL viewer.
Coverage: 7 commands supported, 3 partially supported, 7 recognized as printer-behaviour (not drawn). The preview renders at 203 dpi and is an interpretation of the TSPL/TSPL2 programming manual — it has not been verified against a physical printer.

Preview assumes 203 dpi (8 dots/mm); DENSITY/SPEED are printer settings and do not change the image.

Command syntax: TSPL command reference

How to preview TSPL code

  1. Paste the TSPL/TSPL2 job — from a spool file, a TSC integration or a legacy application.
  2. Press Render. The label size comes from SIZE (mm or inches); the image is drawn at 203 dpi.
  3. Rendering warnings (skipped commands, unsupported barcode types) are counted above the image; the validator gives line-level detail.
  4. Not sure the code is TSPL? Use the printer language detector first.

When this is the right tool

Use it when you build or maintain labels for TSC printers (TE/TA/TTP/MB series and compatibles) and need to see the output without hardware. Remember the mode split: this renders native TSPL — if your TSC printer runs in its documented ZPL emulation, your jobs are ZPL and belong in the ZPL viewer.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is this pixel-identical to my TSC printer? — No such claim is made: the preview interprets the TSPL2 programming manual at 203 dpi and has not been verified against a physical printer. Fonts in particular are approximated.
  • Millimetres or inches? — Both, exactly as TSPL defines it: SIZE 100 mm, 150 mm is millimetres; SIZE 4,6 without a unit is inches.
  • Can I convert TSPL to ZPL here? — Not yet; automatic conversion is deliberately out of scope. Preview both sides and migrate field by field.
