~EF — Erase Stored Formats (legacy)

Legacy ZPL II command that erases formats stored on the printer; the current Zebra guide uses ^ID instead. No effect on the preview.

In the preview

This command is a printer setting: the preview recognises it and skips it, because it does not change how the label looks. Its effect shows on the real printer.
